Privacy policy

Last updated: 23 October 2026

This policy explains what personal information Snoodie collects when you visit thesnoodie.com, buy from us or get in touch, how we use it, who helps us handle it and the choices you have. We keep it to what we need to get your order to you, look after you afterwards and, if you'd like, tell you about new things.

Who we are

Snoodie is the data controller for your personal information. You can reach us at hello@thesnoodie.com or at Flat 1, Villiers Court, Southsea PO5 3PU, United Kingdom.

What we collect

  • Order details: your name, delivery and billing address, email address, phone number (if you give it), what you bought and anything you change, cancel, exchange or return.
  • Payment details: payments are taken by our payment provider, Stripe. Your full card details go straight to Stripe and are never seen or stored by us. We keep a record that you paid and how much.
  • Messages: anything you send us through the help centre, contact form, reviews or email, including photos you add to a return or a problem report.
  • Email preferences: whether you've signed up for our emails, and your birthday if you choose to tell us.
  • Your bag and visits: what you add to your bag (kept in your own browser), a count of visits to the site, and, only if you accept analytics or marketing cookies, information about how you use the site.

How we use it

  • To take payment, make and send your order, keep you updated about it and handle changes, returns, refunds and store credit. This is needed to carry out our contract with you.
  • To answer your messages and look after you. Some replies to emails are drafted with the help of an AI assistant and follow our customer care rules.
  • To send emails you've signed up for, such as new colours, offers and reminders about a checkout you didn't finish. You can unsubscribe at any time from any email or from the help centre.
  • To prevent fraud, keep the site secure and meet our legal and tax obligations.
  • To understand how the site is used and improve it, only where you've agreed to cookies for this.

Who we share it with

We never sell your personal information. We share it only with the companies that help us run Snoodie, each for its own job:

  • Stripe takes card and wallet payments and handles refunds.
  • Our makers and suppliers receive your name, delivery address and the items ordered so they can make and send your order.
  • Delivery companies (such as Royal Mail and InPost) receive what they need to deliver your parcel or your return.
  • Netlify hosts our website, and Cloudflare runs our order and customer care systems.
  • Resend and IONOS send and receive our emails.
  • Google and Meta receive website usage information only if you accept analytics or marketing cookies.

We may also share information where the law requires it, or to protect our customers and our business from fraud.

Cookies

We use a small number of essential cookies and browser storage to keep your bag and remember your choices. Analytics and marketing cookies are only used if you accept them in our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time from the Cookie preferences link at the bottom of every page.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for six years, as UK tax law requires. Messages and photos are kept for as long as we need them to resolve your request and for a reasonable time afterwards. If you unsubscribe from our emails we keep your address on a do-not-email list so we don't contact you again.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to or restrict how we use it, or ask for a copy to take elsewhere. You can download your information or ask us to delete it from the help centre, or email hello@thesnoodie.com. We may need to keep some details, such as order records, where the law requires it.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please talk to us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

International transfers

Some of the companies above may process information outside the UK. Where they do, they use approved safeguards such as the UK's international data transfer agreements or standard contractual clauses.

Children

Our website isn't intended for children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this page if anything changes, and show the date it was last updated at the top.
